Heartfelt Stories of Legacy Planners

Deborah Bell Preplanted a Living Legacy Tree with Her Husband

Planted our love tree today. Peaceful in the forest.

Keven Kerrison Planted a Living Legacy Tree for Her Family

Really peaceful place to bury your loved ones ashes under a tree. They can live on as a part of a native tree and generations of family and friends that were in their lives have a perfect place to visit and just be with their thoughts and memories.

Gwendolyn Slater Infused Her Pet Ashes into a Family Tree

The people who work here are friendly. The place is peacful. Much nicer place for your loved ones to be layed to rest.

A Special Place We Return To

My husband and I have a tree here. Visited the other month and the sunlight filtering through was so beautiful If you want toilets etc there is a kiosk just up the road at the dam and bush camps if you want to make a weekend of it. Pretty sure dogs can visit with responsible owners (e.g. on lead and poo taken away, not left in the plastic bag!)

Where Love Takes Root

Into this soil, our ashes will rest. As we plant this tree, may it be blessed to stay healthy, grow, and flourish—till one day, when our ashes will nourish. May its trunk and branches grow supple and strong, so that many creatures find a place to belong. May those who visit find comfort here, and be reminded our love is forever near.

A Goodbye 35 Years in the Making

Today my brother lives on forever, amongst the beautiful trees at Wellington Dam. With my mum, dad, and daughter, I finally got to say goodbye I’d been waiting 35 years for. From death comes to life and the circle is now complete. Cherish yoyur family for you, and they, are here for but a moment.

A Peaceful Resting Place Filled with Compassion

Very peaceful place for the burial of my grandfather Jimmy. The owners of this place have great compassion, and a great sense of understanding of the family bond that comes with each and every life that comes and goes. I am immensely impressed that the people that run this place know you by your name and not just a transaction.

Planting Love, Growing Memories

Today we shared a heartfelt planting day with Deborah Bastian, Debby, and Chantelle—a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do: creating living legacies, honoring loved ones, and giving back to nature, all within the peaceful embrace of Wellington Dam Legacy Forest. Thank you, Deborah, for letting us be part of such a meaningful journey.

A memorial tree is more than a resting place—it’s a living legacy that grows, nurtures wildlife, and stands for generations to come

A Legacy That Lives On

Honoring life through nature, a memorial tree is more than a resting place—it’s a living legacy that grows with time, supports wildlife, and stands tall for generations to come.

54 Years of Love Remembered

Tania and her dad made a quiet, heartfelt visit to Wellington Dam Forest to honor a beautiful milestone—54 years of love and partnership. As they stood by her mum’s tree, they reflected on cherished memories and the enduring bond that lives on.

Where Memories Take Root

At Wellington Dam Legacy Forest, families find comfort and connection as memorial trees grow into lasting tributes to loved ones. More than a place of remembrance, each tree becomes a living legacy—nurturing nature, wildlife, and future generations.
